What’s a Stork?
Storks are tall birds with long legs, necks and beaks. You are most likely to find them in the warmer regions of the world. Besides its amazing people and delicious food, Los Angeles’ warm weather is the reason the Featherbottom family chose to live in Los Angeles. As for food, the Featherbottoms eat a lot fish, but they also enjoy a great hamburger from In-N-Out or a pizza (with wheat crust) from CPK. Also, if you see a member of the Featherbottom family soaring or gliding through the air, it is because they are trying to conserve energy for all the babies they need to deliver.
Additionally, in Western culture a stork is a symbol of childbirth, and represents happiness and prosperity.
Why should I order a Stork?
A lawn stork is a memorable and special gift to give to a friend or family member with a new baby. They will be so excited and surprised to see a personalized stork with their baby’s name, date of birth, weight, and height, greeting them and celebrating the newest addition to the family. Of course, if you'd like, the keepsake can instead say "It's A Boy!" or "It's A Girl". What’s more, the proud parents will get to keep the personalized keepsake, which also will look great on the wall of the nursery.
Also, our storks make a great gift for a baby shower. A member of the Featherbottom family is a fun and practical way to welcome guests to the shower!
What happens after I order a Stork?
You can order your stork by visiting our Web Store, emailing us at celebrations@lawnstorksla.com or calling us at (310) 892-1751. We will arrange one of the Featherbottom storks of your choice in the perfect place to announce the birth of that wonderful baby! We will pick up the stork after the last day of the rental.
What makes Lawn Storks LA special?
Lawn Storks LA features the Featherbottom family. Each member of the Featherbottom family is a world traveler, and has its own creative flare to fit right in with LA’s sense of style and class. As founder Darren Freedman still works as a full-time attorney, Lawn Storks LA was born purely as a way to bring smiles and joy to families and friends alike following the birth of a baby.
We know that the birth of a baby is among the most amazing events in a family’s life. As each baby grows, having memories following the baby’s birth are truly invaluable for a family. We at Lawn Storks LA aspire to foster for families smiles, laughter, and most importantly, memories that will last a lifetime.
Where does Lawn Storks LA deliver?
Please see the Featherbottom Fly Zone under the Rentals page for areas of delivery. If you cannot find your desired location within the Featherbottom Fly Zone, don't fret!

Who will be making deliveries?
All Lawn Storks LA deliveries are made by its founders and other friends of the Featherbottoms.
When will deliveries be made?
Deliveries will be made for a specified delivery date, or if less than 48 hours notice is given, as soon as possible after the order is placed. If a particular delivery time is desired, Lawn Storks LA will do its best to satisfy any and all reasonable requests.
How old is Martha Featherbottom?
While a lady never reveals her age, I will say that I have been married to my wonderful husband, Walter, for 35 years! For those of you who are in awe, I just tell people that we got married when I was 12.
What if I want to move the Stork?
If you would like to move the location of a Featherbottom stork, please let us know and we will be happy to do it for you. A delivery fee may apply if upon request we come out to move your stork. The above policy is for your safety. We cannot be held responsible for any damage to people or property that occurs if you try to move our stork.
What if the Stork becomes damaged?
If you notice any damage as a result of something like severe weather, please let us know. We reserve the right to charge a $50 fee if our stork is intentionally damaged by any friend or family member of the residence.
May children play on the Stork?
Although the Featherbottoms are a delightful and friendly family, they are NOT designed to be climbed on by children. We cannot be held responsible for injury.
Where do you leave the keepsake after removing the Stork?
We will place the keepsake at the front door unless we receive a request to place it at another location on the property.
What does Walter Featherbottom do is his free time?
Walter takes great pride in never being late to an engagement. That’s the main reason why he is an avid collector of unique clocks and watches from all over the world. His most recent find, which he currently is wearing, includes a pocket watch from a store in Calabasas, California.
